summer book recommendations

Since summer officially starts next week I thought I'd share some of my book recommendations that would be great summer reads! There's a pretty good mix of non-fiction and fiction books so hopefully you'll be able to find something you'll love! I also provide a very short summary of what each book is about that don't do any of the books justice.  1. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell: Cute contemporary about two misfits who fall in love. 2. Palo Alto by James Franco: Similar to the movie but with more detail and new characters. 3. To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han: The main character Laura Jean writes letters to the boys she loves when she doesn't want to be in love with them any more and chaos occurs when those letters accidentally get sent to the boys. 4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: An awesome read if you loved Harry Potter or love contemporaries. 5. Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham: Non-fiction book all about Lena Dunham

may favourites

Items: Forever 21 floral top, Bluenotes shorts, Old Navy bralettes and socks, Toms lace shoes In May I didn't have too many favourites and was debating whether to even do a May favourites but I managed to find a few items that I really liked from last month. Clothing Recently I have been really into florals and pastels which is definitely reflected in this months favourites. I have also been really into wearing soft shorts instead of denim because they're soo comfortable! I found the socks while I was shopping and thought they were too cute not to get cause they have little cacti on them. Miscellaneous Books: Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham and The Kinfolk Home TV Shows: Orange Is the New Black and The Bachelorette Also having flowers in my bedroom! Spring is the best because there are always flowers around to pick and put in my room.

getting published

Image
Every month I read the magazine Local Wolves online. It's one of my favourite magazines of all time because everything about it is just what I'm looking for in a magazine. The pictures are gorgeous, the articles feature people I want to read about and the whole magazine is all about being a creative and positive person. In each magazine they have a section called Wolfie Submissions where people can submit something that goes along with the theme of that months magazine. The theme of June's magazine was finding your niche and so I submitted a paragraph about how I discovered my love of art...and it got picked to be in June's magazine!! I was ecstatic when I found out because I never really thought I was that great of a writer so the fact that my work is published in my favourite magazine is crazy amazing! I'll leave a link to Local Wolves website  here  if you want to go check out what I wrote or you can read it for free on the app Issuu! Xx Taylor
