new years eve outfits

Image
New years eve is fast approaching and I can hardly believe the holidays have passed so quickly. I thought I'd provide some outfit inspiration for what ever you may be doing on new years. No. 1: At home with family Most often I spend New Years at home with friends and family just having dinner and mini dance parties, so this outfit was inspired by that. Just a simple white shirt paired with jeans would be great because it still looks super cute but it's also comfortable. No. 2: Dinner out with friends This next outfit I thought might be good for going out to eat with friends or to a dinner party. Pairing a skirt with a cozy sweater is always a great idea because you get to stay warm but still look put together. No. 3: Party For those of you who are going to a party this new years, I'm kind of jealous cause that sounds really fun. I think a flowy dress would be great because it's easy to move around in and paired with ankle boots w

last minute gift ideas

Image
Christmas shopping can be super stressful, especially when there's only a week left. And although I'm not done Christmas shopping myself, I did manage to come up some (hopefully) easy to find gifts that you can pick up last minute. Books/notebooks are always a good idea because you can never have too many. Some books I highly recommend for gifts would be: How to be Parisian Wherever You Are, Palo Alto by James Franco, To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han and Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Makeup/skincare products also tend to be really great gifts, especially for your mom or best friend. There are so many different options and it's really nice when you're able to personalize the gift towards the person's skin type or colouring. Some more ideas: records, a polaroid camera, candles, mittens, fuzzy socks, Lush products, art supplies, perfume, jewelry Hopefully this helps make your Christmas shopping a little easier! If you w

holiday outfit ideas

Image
Christmas is fast approaching and it's usually one of the busiest times of the year for everyone, including me. There's always so many family gatherings and dinners with friends so I thought I'd show you a couple holiday outfit ideas! 1. Casual dinner I thought this outfit might be super cute and comfortable for having dinner with family or friends because it's simple. 2. Holiday party I also thought I'd throw in a fancier outfit because often people are throwing holiday parties around this time of year and this is what I was planning to wear to one of mine. If you want to know where anything I showed is from just leave a comment. Hope you enjoyed seeing these and have a great holiday with friends and family! Xx Taylor

november favourites

Image
November has mostly been a month of makeup and skin care favourites because I got to go to Sephora a few times. I'm also gonna talk about some movies and tv shows I've been obsessed with lately. Makeup and Skin Care In terms of makeup I've really been loving the Nudestix eye shadow stick in the colour Terra. It is just a really pretty neutral shade and it's super easy to apply. I repurchased the Benefit "They're Real" mascara because it has been my favourite for a while now. I also got a sample of the Jose Maran 100% pure argan oil which works great on dry skin. For skin care I got sent a few Ren products to try out and I wanted to share what I thought of them with you. I really like the Gentle Cleansing Milk because it works well to get all your makeup off and feels really soft. The Flash Hydro-Boost mask and the Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal mask both are great for days when you feel your skin needs a pick me up. Also, I love t

a mini saturday haul

I've been meaning to post this little haul for a while now but I just hadn't found the time so sorry about that. Anyways, these are a few things I've picked up over the past couple weeks. Items: Garage sweater, Brandy Melville skirt, Calvin Klein underwear I know this post was short but I'm hopefully gonna put up a November favourites tomorrow and start doing Christmasy posts for the next few weeks. 5 Tips to Stay Stress Free

Image
This time of year tends to always be the most stressful with school and everything else going on so I thought I'd share some things I like to do to help me relax and destress. 1. Colour One thing I like to do to relax is colour. It's super easy and there are soo many cute colouring books for adults now. I really like the ones by Zoe de las Cases because the ones I have are Parisian themed and adorable. 2. Journal Journalling is a great way to keep all your thoughts organized and to get everything off your chest. I like to carry around small ones and write down all my homework and assignments for school so I don't forget anything. 3. Take care of your skin Face masks can be such a relaxing thing that I like to treat myself to every once in a while. One of my favourites recently has been the Fresh Rose Face Mask because it's super hydrating. Before I put on a mask though I use the Angels on Bare Skin exfoliator from Lush. 4. List

fall must haves

Image
Today is Halloween and I basically spent it eating candy and watching Edward Scissorhands (how every good Halloween should be spent). I thought I'd do a little update on some of my fall must haves! Lip balm My first must have for fall is lip balm because my lips tend to get pretty dry during the colder months. My favourites are definitely the ones by Smith's Rosebud Company. I have been using their products so long now so I'm super excited to collab with them! The ones I have been using recently are the Menthol and Eucalyptus, Mocha Rose and Brambleberry balms. They all smell absolutely amazing and get the job done. If you want to check out any of their products I'll link the website  here . You can also find their products at Sephora, Urban Outfitters and a few other stores. Sweaters My next must have is definitely a cozy sweater cause I'm one of those people who is constantly cold in the fall and winter. This pink one is one of my favou

ohh deer

Image
I recently got the chance to work with Ohh Deer who have some very cute stationary and gift items! I thought I'd show you a few of my favourites. I'll put a link to their website  here   if you want to check them out. This marble notebook is actually the cutest thing ever and matches my laptop cover which is a bonus. I've been using it everyday just to jot down ideas or notes I have. This journal is from a collab with Urban Outfitters so I think you can probably find it there as well as on their website. Ohh Deer also has some adorable patches and pins. I thought these ones were particularly lovely and would be super cute on a denim jacket or my pencil case. Definitely give their site a browse because there's something there for everyone. Hope you enjoyed! Xx Taylor
