the art of thrifting

For some people, thrift shopping can be the most unappealing thing ever but for others, like myself, it's really exciting. I thought I'd provide some tips to make thrifting easier because thrift shopping is kind of like tumblr; you never know what you're going to find. Sometimes you don't find anything but other times you want to buy everything. (Ps all the items in the photos were thrift finds!)
Tip No. 1:
Go as often as possible because they put new items out everyday. I personally try to go at least every other weekend to various thrift stores because it can definitely be hit and miss so going often helps you make sure you don't miss anything.

Tip No. 2:
Every month thrift stores tend to have a big sale on most of their clothing and furniture items. It's best to go during these times because they sometimes offer up to 70% off which lets you spend as little as possible!

april haul

This month seems to be going by really quickly and I think the reason why is because my trip to New York City is fast approaching. Ever since I was around 11 years old I've wanted to visit NYC and although I have been to the state of New York, I haven't had the chance to visit the city because it's about seven hours away from where I live in Canada. This year I am finally getting the chance to go because my school has organized a trip there. The trip is based around our school's art programs so we get to visit the MOMA(which I'm most excited about), the NBC studio, and also see the musical The Color Purple on broadway. We are going to a few other places like Chinatown and Little Italy. A few months ago I started watching Gossip Girl, (which was probably a bad idea because I'm now addicted and Blair and Chuck's relationship make…

One of my favourite things to look at is other peoples playlists because I love finding new music. I decided to start making two playlists a month of songs that I have been listening to at the moment. The first April playlist is kind of a weird mix of soft alternative songs and hip hop songs that I've been loving! If you have any song recommendations leave a comment. Xx Taylor
