k-beauty makeup favourites
I have been a huge fan of k-beauty for the past few years now so I've acquired quite a few products in my collection. I love the overall aesthetic of Korean makeup because it's super natural and girly. I'm all about wearable makeup with fun aspects that is super easy to apply which is exactly what k-beauty is! They also do branding and packaging so well!!
I thought I'd share some of my favourite Korean makeup products to hopefully help you find some new favourites whether you're new to k-beauty or an expert!
B A S E P R O D U C T S
If you're into a glowy base this is for you! Gives the prettiest luminous finish without being glittery.
I'm not a huge primer girl but sometimes when my skin is looking pretty textured I like to use this to smooth everything out.
I love a light coverage foundation so this is perfect! I don't think it's very moisturizing since it's very watery but it does give a very pretty dewy finish. Beware though that the shade range is horrendous!
This is such a unique formula for a blush! It really does feel like velvet which makes it so easy to apply and blend! Plus the shades are beautiful!
E Y E S H A D O W
If you're looking for a palette that's only shimmer shades then this is the one! All the shades look beautiful worn alone and also make perfect eyeshadow toppers!
I was super excited to find this palette cause it has such a cute colour story! It's colourful but still very wearable since the shades aren't super pigmented. Plus the shimmer shades are beautiful!
This palette is kind of a dupe of the 3CE palettes but might even have better pigmentation! A super nice neutral palette perfect for every day!
Another great neutral palette! This one is super cute and tiny so perfect for travel! I love that it also includes a blush (even though it is a bit light for my skin tone). A lot of really pretty shimmer shades that work really well when you use your finger to apply.
VDL PANTONE Coral Eyeshadow Palette
I really love to see the Pantone collections that VDL releases every year cause they're always super fun! This was the coral palette which I think were definitely the stand out shades in this! Some of the matte shades are slightly patchy and work better with the shimmers overtop but it's mostly the brown shades that I don't use haha. Sadly I couldn't find this online anymore but the blue 2020 version is still available!
L I P P R O D U C T S
I feel like k-beauty brands always do lip products so well! The Etude House tints give a really pretty glossy finish and smell like a grape popsicle! I really like the satin finish from the I'm MEME lipstick and the mini Peripera are adorable and a great way to try out a lot of lipstick colours for cheaper (plus, how often do you actually finish a full sized lipstick?)
3CE is my favourite k-beauty brand of all time and their lip products are incredible! I honestly love and wear every lip formula here! Plus the colour selection is incredible! I think my favourite would have to be the Slim Velvet Lip Colors cause they're so creamy!
