5 summer makeup favourites

Image
Although I haven't been doing my makeup very often this summer, I've still been trying to find time to try out new products or do a full face once a week for fun! I thought I'd share some of the things I've been getting a lot of use out of and loving lately! Pseudo Labs Faux Freckle Kit  $38 Nothing says summer more than freckles and this product has been so fun to play with! I was a little scared that faux freckles were gonna look unnatural on me but these look super subtle and realistic which I love!  I have the shades 01 (matches my natural freckles) and 02 (slightly darker than my natural freckles) and both work for me! The application is very easy, although a little messy so I suggest draping a towel over your clothes before applying. I pat them out a bit with a sponge for a more subtle look and I'm obsessed! Flesh Eye & Cheek Gloss  $20 Last summer when I got to visit Ulta for the first time I knew I had to pick this product up! I love a glossy eye look an...

a full review of glossier

Image
Glossier is one of my favourite brands of all time so it's only fitting that I do a full brand review of everything I've tried from them. I remember counting down the days til I could order their products back in 2017 and I think I even placed two orders that day! Shortly after that I visited their og New York showroom and it was an aesthetic dream come true for me haha. I've really liked seeing them grow over the years and am always excited to see what they'll launch next because their launches always seem very planned out and thoughtful. I was really happy to see them announce a grant to help support and grow Black-owned businesses this summer because I think it's an amazing and very necessary initiative! I'm very excited to announce that I'm now a Glossier affiliate! I'm so excited to join their program and if you choose to shop with me you can get 10% off your purchase and free shipping over $30 usd or $40 cad!  I don't have every single Glossier...

lip gloss collection favourites

I am somewhat of a lip gloss addict and self-proclaimed lip gloss expert haha. The OG Glossier lip gloss was what got me hooked on lip gloss in the first place and now I pretty much wear it everyday! I thought I'd share my favourite lip glosses from my collection and give some reviews so hopefully you can find your new favourite! Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb  $25 This is for sure my favourite lip gloss formula of all time! It's shimmery, comes in so many gorgeous sheer shades and isn't too sticky! It does have a slight stickiness, but it's pretty minimal and isn't uncomfortable at all. My most worn shades are Fu$$y, Diamond Milk, Fenty Glow, and $weetmouth. Fenty Gloss Bombs are just the perfect lipstick topper and finishing touch! Glossier Lip Gloss  $17   Glossier Lip Gloss Trio   $36 Like I said before, this is the lip gloss that started my addiction. Glossier lip gloss is the glossiest lip gloss I've ever tried and it looks so gorgeous on the ...

haircare routine for fine straight hair

Image
Over the years my haircare routine has changed a lot! In high school I hardly used any products, and straightened and blowdried my already pin-straight hair everyday...I'm cringing just thinking about it! Now I feel like I use a lot more products but am very careful about trying not to damage my hair. I let it air dry everyday and rarely use heat on it. I've done a lot of trial and error finding products that work for my specific hair type and I'm pretty happy with my routine right now so I thought I'd share what I've been using lately! I have very fine straight hair so I tend to get oily roots very quickly (I have to wash my hair every 2 or 3 days max!) I also have seborrhoea which causes flair ups on my scalp of itchy, dry, flaky patches so it's been an interesting journey trying to find a routine for oily roots and a dry scalp lol. Probably tmi but maybe this will be helpful if you're experiencing the same thing...I do use a prescription hair lotion ...
